BACK TO BUSINESS!!!

Hello Friends,

How are you all doing? I missed you and I hope KNOW you missed me too :) 

My apologies for not posting in a while and it should be easy to blame this on time, or perhaps writer’s block, but I’ve learnt that no wise person puts his hands on the plough and looks back. 

I AM A WISE WOMAN, so here you have me, ‘Back to Business’!!!  

I appreciate every single person who took out time to check on Colourmeamba with concerns and requests for Tuesday blog posts. It made me really glad. Thank you so much.

Now, today’s theme is not dedicated to me, but to a business idea which perceived the opportunity to bring a large group of people ‘Back to Business’. Business as usual slowed for this group of people as they watched competition pull the rug from under their feet. These are the many shop owners at the popular OTIGBA MARKET, COMPUTER VILLAGE, Ikeja, Lagos. 

On Tuesday, the 22^nd of April 2014, a new platform tagged: “MyComputerVillage.com,” was launched, born out of passion to boost electronic commerce in Nigeria, improve customer engagement, increase patronage, and above all and retain over 6,000 shops and 18,000 businesses. The Two-day event witnessed the introduction of a virtual market space for IT Merchants and technicians at the Computer Village, Ikeja. With such e-space, following a monthly or annual rental fee, entrepreneurs and businesses who currently have shops in Computer Village have been offered the opportunity to effectively showcase their products and company brand to prospective buyers via an online shop. 

For many shop owners at the famous IT market, the excitement could not be contained as they realized they could compete again in the market space and indeed get “Back to Business”.
