WIN THIS INDEPENDENCE QUIZ!!!!!!!

RESULTS OF THE QUIZ (Update, 2nd October)

This is to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Independence Quiz yesterday, 1st October. It was fun all the way for me and so much laughter while reading most of the comments. I sincerely appreciate those who came by just to take a peek, those who acknowledged the quiz was quite challenging, others who followed up on the answers and most especially those who actively participated by dropping a comment or two as well as supplying some answers. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Finally, at 10:01PM yesterday, a winner emerged. Congratulations to PAMELA GANYI who provided the correct answers to all the 13 questions (My apologies for skipping two questions- Number 9 and 10). Pamela Ganyi, based in South Africa, won the N1000 recharge card prize and enjoys the privilege of having the airtime forwarded to anyone she chooses who is based here in Nigeria.

It was fun all the way for me yesterday watching most people rise up to the Quiz challenge. I found it really educative. From here, more quizzes may come up to help us all gain more knowledge about our Country. I really do look forward to more people participating and of course winning more Prizes.
Thank you all once again…and HAPPY 53RD INDEPENDENCE!!!

PS: I have provided answers to the questions below. Please go over the pictures again and view them ;)

Hi Everyone,

I'm guessing you may have already received a lot of pleasantries regarding today's celebration, so allow me go past that and step right into what I have for you.

To mark the day, I've decided to tickle your intellect a bit with a QUIZ! There are 15 questions below and all you need to do is answer them accurately to WIN A N1,000 RECHARGE CARD WITH ANY NETWORK OF YOUR CHOICE!!!

The questions aren't difficult. 'Open Book' is allowed too! All I need is a WINNER!!! - Someone who knows something about Nigeria and is willing to be the first to answer all the questions correctly!

The quiz is divided into two sections.  I have been nice enough to supply some clues (thank me ;))
Please kindly number your answers accordingly and comment with your real name so I could know who is responding. Your answers should be accurate. Multiple entries from one person will be disqualified.

The first best correct answers wins the Prize!!!

So then, LETS SEE HOW NIGERIAN YOU ARE!!!

SECTION 1: NAME THE FACE

1.
(Standing left as a young Army Cadet) -  General Olusegun Mathew Aremu Obasanjo,
former Military Head of State, 1976-1979 and later, Democratic President of Nigeria, 1999-2007.

(Easy!) - Current President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan.

3.

the Nigerian National flag as a young student in the United Kingdom.
He has received a number of awards for this and presently lives in Ibadan with his family.

It  dates back to 1934 when the Sultan of Sokoto paid a visit to the Emir of Argungu to mark the end of hostilities between the Sokoto Caliphate and Kebbi kingdom. The Emir of Argungu ordered fishermen to go fishing as part of the events to entertain the visitor who passed the night. Since this time the Festival evolved into something much bigger with thousands of men and women competing to catch the largest fish on a set event yearly for a take-home prize as much as 7,500 US Dollars. This Festival it appears, has not held since its last edition in 2009.

15.
(Ancient culture)- The Ancient Nok Culture flourished in the first millennium in Nok, Benue Plateau of Nigeria.
